PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) is often misunderstood but affects 1 in 10 women. We want the world to share their experiences with PCOS so Zubia is donating $10 for each new video to PCOS Challenge, a leading organization in the fight against PCOS.

DO I QUALIFY TO LIVE-STREAM A VIDEO FOR PCOS CHALLENGE TO EARN $10 FROM ZUBIA?

If you are a someone impacted by PCOS such as a patient, family member, caregiver, doctor, or part of the medical community, you are encouraged to share your PCOS story. There is no cost for you! 
FOR IPHONE USERS:
  • Download the Zubia Live-Streaming app from the App store: "Zubia"
  • Click "To Host  +" on the top right hand corner
  • Enter "SIGN UP information
  • Add photo to your profile (now or later)
  • Select channels of interest to you (one or more)
  • Create Broadcast Title: Make sure "PCOS" is in your title!
  • Click "Select Channel & Topic"
  • Choose Medical then choose "PCOS"
  • Select a date, time and duration.
  • Leave Private Broadcast as is
  • Add broadcast description
  • Continue to upload a photo if you want
  • Invite your friends and contacts to watch you and interact with live text chats
  • Go to View My Broadcasts
  • Go to My Profile anytime to find your broadcasts
  • Go Live. When you go live, you can also broadcast to your Facebook page at the same time.
  • When completed, click, "END BROADCAST"
  • Follow us @ZubiaLive!
FOR DESKTOP/LAPTOP COMPUTER USERS:
  • Go to https://www.zubialive.com
  • Click LOGIN/REGISTER
  • Click "Create" at the top of the page
  • Create Broadcast Title: Make sure "PCOS" is in your title!
  • Choose image to add (optional)
  • Select Medical then choose, "PCOS"
  • Select a date, time and duration.
  • Add broadcast description
  • Click SAVE AND CONTINUE
  • Click OK in red to go to your profile page
  • Click "Live + Upcoming" 
  • Click View Detail on your broadcast
  • You may simulcast to your Facebook page
  • When you are ready, click "CLICK TO GO LIVE"
  • YOU ARE LIVE - start sharing your story!
  • When finished, click "END BROADCAST" and close your browser.
  • Invite your friends to watch you on ZubiaLive
  • Follow us @ZubiaLive!

A FEW TIPS BEFORE YOU START LIVE-STREAMING:

If you are using your iPhone:
  • Please close any other apps running 
  • Make sure iPhone is not on mute (we want to hear you!)
  • Go to settings, click do not disturb so you don't get interrupted
  • Click "YES" if you also want to go live on your Facebook page
  • Hold the phone and record vertically, not horizontally
  • Have fun! 
If you are using your desktop, look into the camera, also click "YES" if you want to go live on your Facebook page at the same time and finally have fun!

ABOUT PCOS
  • PCOS is a complex hormonal, metabolic and reproductive disorder that affects up to 15% of women.
  • PCOS is a leading cause of infertility in women.
  • Women with PCOS constitute the largest group of women at risk for developing cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.
  • The National Institutes of Health (NIH) estimate more than 50% of women with PCOS will become diabetic or prediabtic before age 40.
  • Some studies have shown women with PCOS to be at three times higher risk for endometrial cancer, two times higher risk for ovarian cancer, and two to four times higher risk for breast cancer.
  • Some studies have shown due to symptoms of anxiety and depression, suicide attempts are up to seven times more common in women with PCOS than other women.
  • Pre-teens and teens can develop PCOS. Earlier diagnosis can give them the opportunity to better manage the emotional, internal and physical effects of PCOS. It can also help them prevent the onset of more serious illnesses related to PCOS.
  • Despite affecting millions of women and the serious health consequences, PCOS is unknown to most people and a staggering 50% of the women living with PCOS are going undiagnosed.
